Meet the speakers

Dr. Maria M. Posada is a Senior Director in the PK/PD group at Eli Lilly and Company. She received her bachelors in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the National University of Colombia in 2004 and her Ph.D.in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2012. Dr. Posada worked as a Post-Doctoral Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company from 2012- 2014. In 2014, she joined as a full-time employee working as a project leader and developing mechanistic pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models to support many projects in the portfolio, from early discovery through regulatory submission. Since 2019, she has been leading the mechanistic pharmacokinetics group. Maria has co-led and implemented several strategies that have extended the use of modeling and simulation to speed drug discovery and development and aid decision making. Maria is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion and the co-chair of the Women in Lilly Discovery and Development group.
